CellarScience – VOSS Kveik Ale Yeast is a powerful, fast-fermenting yeast ideal for brewing clean and flavourful ales. It ferments quickly within its optimal range of 20–40°C, typically achieving full attenuation in just 2–3 days. With medium to high flocculation, it produces exceptionally clear beer without the need for filtration or process aids.
VOSS is PCR tested for quality assurance in every batch. It features excellent brew tolerance (up to 16% ABV) and high attenuation (75–80%). Each sachet treats a 19–23L batch, and for larger volumes, it’s recommended at 0.5–0.8g per litre—rounding up to the nearest sachet.
Direct pitch or rehydrate: VOSS can be pitched straight into wort with no oxygenation needed. Thanks to its high sterol content and nutrient-loaded formulation, VOSS ensures complete and healthy fermentations. If rehydrating, use sterilized water (29–35°C) and FermStart (0.25g/g yeast) for best results.
This yeast is gluten-free and comparable to strains like WLP520 and OYL061. As part of the CellarScience dry yeast range, it offers superior consistency, convenience, and shelf stability compared to traditional liquid yeasts—all at an excellent value.
