Lactic Acid – Food Grade – 100mL

Lactic Acid is a high-quality, food-grade acidifier essential for precise pH control in brewing. Commonly used to lower mash or sparge pH, it helps prevent excessive tannin extraction and keeps your sparge runoff below the ideal 5.8 pH, resulting in a smoother, cleaner-tasting beer.

Lactic Acid is also perfect for pre-acidifying wort before adding souring bacteria such as Lactobacillus. This reduces the risk of unwanted wild bacterial growth by creating a more stable, low-pH environment.

Favoured by traditional brewers for being a natural byproduct of fermentation, lactic acid provides a gentle, authentic acidity — ideal for styles like Berliner Weisse, Gose, and other sour ales.
