Lactose – 500g (Milk Sugar)
Add smoothness and sweetness to your brews with Lactose. Known as milk sugar, lactose is a non-fermentable sugar that adds body, creaminess, and a touch of residual sweetness to beer — perfect for creating rich, dessert-like styles.
Commonly used in milk stouts, cream ales, porters, and dessert-style beers, lactose enhances mouthfeel and balances bitterness without being overly sweet. Since brewing yeast cannot ferment lactose, it remains in the finished beer to create a soft, rounded texture.
