Mosaic Hops – Complex, Fruit-Forward Aroma Hop
Mosaic hops live up to their name, offering one of the most diverse and complex flavour profiles of any modern hop. Most noted for their distinctive berry-like aroma—often described as blueberry or mixed berries—they also deliver layers of mango, stone fruit, tropical citrus, pine, earthy herbs, spice, bubblegum, and floral notes.
Released in 2012 by the Hop Breeding Company, Mosaic quickly became a favourite among craft brewers thanks to its triple-use versatility: bittering, flavour, and aroma. With high alpha acids balanced by low cohumulone, Mosaic produces smooth bitterness alongside bold, juicy hop character.
Bred as the daughter of Simcoe and Nugget, Mosaic has even been nicknamed “Citra on steroids” for its intense yet balanced tropical fruit expression. Ideal for hop-forward beers like IPAs, Session IPAs, and Pale Ales, Mosaic is one of the most in-demand aroma hops worldwide.
